Cooking is not a big Issue


Cooking is the process of preparing food by applying heat, selecting, measuring and combing ingredient's to make sure that it’s edible. The term is often used in the narrower sense of applying heat which chemically transforms food that changes its flavor, texture, appearance or nutritional feature. Food is an essential element in our daily life and delicious food is the weakness of every individual. It is a common saying that it is easy to win someone’s heart by good cooking.
Lahore is a city of lively people and these lively people are also fond of food that is the reason spicy foods are more in use. Many restaurants and hotels have opened for people to make spicy foods by professional chefs, try to develop creativity in food. The specialty of our culture is “Garam Masala” which is very common ingredient in our food, develops taste and aroma and makes food different and special.




People give importance to taste that’s why elite class hire cooks for cooking to enjoy and entertain the food or cook by themselves at weekends. People are giving preference to simple and easy food. Chinese, Thai and Italian food are giving more importance as they are easy to cook and delicious in taste.
Another innovation in cooking is ready made masalas and easy quick made recipes by different food companies. Similarly the uses of sauces in cooking are becoming popular. Soups, steaks, rice, spaghettis, lasagna and all such dishes are adopted from western countries with the mixture of traditional spices.

  This combination is using day by day because people are fed up to try pure desi items that’s why they wants to develop change in daily routine food. Cooking is also become popular in teenage girls and boys who happily try new recipes.
The teenage girls are doing diplomas in baking and Chinese courses to learn quick recipes easily made in homes.



Improvements in cooking also comes in house wives the reason is the cook books in the market like Dalda ka Dastarkhuan and also the opening of cooking channels. Such TV channels are ARY Zauk, Masala TV and Zaiqa become famous among Pakistani and overseas women. 


Such channels on-aired variety of programs for cooking to baking, deserts, and different types of fish recipes, chocolate recipes and many more. Professional cooking experts and chefs are hired by TV channels who cook under hygienic and healthy environment. These chefs are professional degree holders in their respective fields and well renowned chefs of famous hotels of Pakistan including chef Mehbob, Zakir,Gulzar,Shai, Maria, Rahat, Zubaida Appa, Kokab Khawaja and many more.



Another development in the field of cooking is to get the degree in professional cooking. Students go abroad to study different courses of cooking to make themselves professional. Comparison also starts between the chefs who are a better cook. Competitions are held at different places for the encouragement of newcomers.
It is a fact that cooking is an art and it is not limited into the hands of woman but males are also take part equally in this field.
